Application
- Silylation Reagent: Introduces trimethylsilyl (TMS) protecting groups for alcohols, carboxylic acids, and amines in organic synthesis.
- Polymer Intermediate: Acts as an end-capping agent in silicone oil and silicone polymer production to regulate molecular weight.
- Chemical Intermediate: Key raw material for hexamethyldisilazane, hexamethyldisiloxane, and other organosilicon compounds.
- Chromatography: Derivatization reagent for GC analysis of biochemical samples.
