Nickel(II) Acetylacetonate CAS 3264-82-2

Nickel acetylacetonate is a light green orthorhombic crystalline solid, also known as bis(acetylacetonato)diaquanickel(II) or nickel(II) 2,4-pentanedionate dihydrate. It forms blue-green orthorhombic crystals. It is sparingly soluble in water and methanol, and soluble in ethanol. It can be azeotropically dehydrated in warm toluene to yield anhydrous nickel acetylacetonate. Heating under vacuum at 100 °C also causes dehydration to give a light green anhydrous form.
