Maleic Anhydride (MAA) is a white, crystalline solid with a characteristic acrid odor, supplied as flakes or briquettes. It is one of the most versatile C4 chemical intermediates, widely used as a raw material for unsaturated polyester resins (UPR), 1,4-butanediol (BDO), fumaric and malic acid, alkyd resins, styrene-maleic anhydride copolymers, lubricant additives and agricultural chemicals.

Storage: keep in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area. Maleic anhydride is moisture-sensitive and hydrolyzes to maleic acid — keep containers tightly sealed and away from water, oxidizers and strong bases.
