【Usage】
1.It is used as a raw material for synthetic rubber and spices, and also as a solvent.
Its dextrorotatory form is commonly used. It can be used as a raw material for formulating artificial neroli, sweet flower, lemon, and bergamot oil. It can also be used as a fresh top note fragrance in cosmetics, soaps, and daily chemical fragrances, and is suitable in cologne types, jasmine types in floral fragrances, lavender types, as well as pine, aldehyde, woody, fruity, or fresh fragrances. In edible flavors, it is used as a modifier in white lemon, fruity, and spicy formulations.
2.Dipentene can be used as a magnetic paint, lacquer, and various oil-containing resins, resin waxes, metal driers, and solvents; for manufacturing synthetic resins and synthetic rubbers; for blending orange blossom essence, citrus oil essence, etc.; it can also be made into a substitute for lemon essential oil. Limonene is directionally oxidized to form carvone; in the presence of inorganic acids, limonene reacts with water by addition to form α-terpineol and terpin hydrate; in the presence of platinum or color catalysts, it is hydrogenated to form p-menthane, and dehydrogenated to form p-cymene. It is also used as an oil dispersant, rubber additive, wetting agent, etc.
3.It is used as a solvent and also in spice synthesis and pesticide production.
